Welcome to the weekend, pals! I did a double-take once I wrote in the present day’s date for the e-newsletter. Very like Anne Shirley, “I’m so very glad I stay in a world the place there are Octobers.” The beautiful leaves, the cooler climate with a promise of fall and winter actions, cozy fires (we lit the primary one final night time!), mugs of tea and cocoa within the afternoon, I find it irresistible all.

And never that I’m speeding issues one bit, however I can hardly watch for the primary snowfall. (Sorry, native Ohioans, that may by no means not be thrilling for me!) I’ll be in Phoenix this week, and whereas the sunshine and visits with household and pals are all the time beautiful, I can inform you now that I’ll be counting down the times till I’m again residence to take pleasure in all of the awesomeness that’s fall in Ohio.

ON THE BLOG this week: Stuffed with spiced floor beef and coated in tangy tomato sauce, cabbage roll casserole is a hearty stick-to-your-ribs meal. With all the flavour of the extra labor-intensive Cabbage Rolls with a minimum of effort, it is a dinner-time win.

Peanut Butter Apple Dip is simple and slightly sweet, perfect to enjoy with apples, pretzels, or something you may dip into it. Judging from the truth that at the very least 4 individuals requested the recipe the primary time I made this, (and I practically couldn’t cease laughing once I advised them how easy it was) I’m calling this a hit. What’s to not love about an appetizer that takes about 3 minutes to throw collectively?

This fully loaded Chicken Potato Broccoli Casserole begins with fluffy mashed potatoes which are blended with tender bites of broccoli and hen, then generously sprinkled with bacon and cheese. The result’s a completely irresistible dinner.

Pumpkin muffins filled with melting chocolate chips and bursting with autumn spices – is there something extra quintessentially fall than the scent of pumpkin spices drifting by the home?

Baked oatmeal, loaded with summer berries and lightly sweetened with brown sugar is an effective way to begin the day. Berries are a mainstay in my fridge. The opposite day I had a couple of issues that wanted for use up and baked oatmeal was the right manner to verify these berries didn’t go to waste.

What I’m CRAVING: These Cinnamon Coffee Twists caught my eye this week. They sound implausible and I don’t know once I’ve seen a prettier cinnamon roll.

My FAVORITE THINGS this week are these inexpensive little jar openers. Nothing makes me really feel older than once I can’t get a jar open as of late. Severely although, what’s the cope with feeling like such a weakling as of late?? I’ve tried numerous jar openers over the previous few years and these little grippy pads work superbly. (And so they get bonus factors for taking over nearly no drawer house.)

What I’m LISTENING to: Like My Father by Jax. I heard this tune for the primary time this week and it’s simply such a candy tribute to her dad and mom. It makes me grin each time.

What I’m WATCHING: The Terminal List. This present has shocked me. Sean and I are watching it collectively, we have now yet another episode to go. It’s fairly darkish and a bit extra violent than I usually like, but it surely’s been an awesome watch and I’m impressed with Chris Pratt’s appearing. It’s totally different from something I’ve seen him do prior to now.

“Really my soul finds relaxation in God; my salvation comes from him.” Psalm 62:1

Wishing you a stunning week filled with little issues that make you smile!

Mary
